Learning Objectives:
By the end of the course, you will have an understanding of the threat posed by ground level ozone to tropical agriculture. Crucially, a knowledge of the tools to identify ozone injury, and different methods to tackle the threat from ozone pollution.
Learning Objectives:
- Knowledge of ground level ozone formation processes.
- Identification of when and where you will get high ozone conditions in your area
- Greater confidence in attributing injury symptoms to ozone or another source of damage to crop plants
- Ability to understand and describe plant physiological and metabolic consequences of ozone intake beyond visible injury
- Knowledge of how ozone injury affects crop value (economic and nutritional)
- Greater confidence in knowing how to manage the threat from ground level ozone pollution
- Greater awareness of resources available to you to help tackle ozone pollution
